Meng Zhao was born in Anhui in 1967. As a child growing up in Anhui, the ceramic sculptor Meng Zhao had no toys and would go to the river to create shapes with water and sand. Now forty-four he continues to play with water and earth as the material and object of his art.

Born in 1969, Sarah Sze received a BA from Yale University in 1991 and in 1997 earned an MFA at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She currently lives in New York and is a professor at Columbia University School of the Arts. Recognized for her complex, site-specific installations of objects from the everyday, her works are three-dimensional drawings that consistently push the boundaries of the medium at hand and challenge a viewer’s sense of space.

Chen Longbin was born in Taiwan in 1964. He received a BFA from Tung-Hai University in Taiwan and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York, where he currently resides. Recognized for his transformation of discarded books and paper into sculptures and art objects his approaches the book object as an aesthetic object and attempts to combine ideas and concepts from the East with those from the West.

Leung Chiwo, aka Warren Leung, was born in Hong Kong in 1968. Leung graduated with a BA in fine arts from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1990 and received his MFA in 1997. As a writer, editor, curator, and photographer, he is one of Hong Kong’’s most active conceptual artists and also co-founder of Para/Site Art Space. He has exhibited internationally in major art institutions including the Queens Museum of Art in New York, Museu da Imagem e do Som in Sao Paulo, Rudolfinum in Prague and Museum of Contemporary Art in Shanghai. He represented Hong Kong at the Venice Biennale in 2001 and has also participated in biennales in Shanghai and Gwangju, His work has been reviewed in Art Asia Pacific, New York Times and Asian Art News.

Tom Bell is a sculptor currently based in London, UK. Recognized for the organic elegance of his sculpture and works on paper, his work is held in private and public collections around the world, including the Museo Nacional Centre de Arte Reina Sofia (Spain), the National Gallery of South Australia, and the Kunsthalle Hamburg (Germany). In 2000, he was a recipient of the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant.
