RedBox Studio is pleased to announce FOCUS Asia 2012 at the 13th annual Art Toronto art fair October 26-29, 2012. FOCUS Asia 2012 a continuation of the annual initiative designed to highlight influential topics in contemporary art. FOCUS Asia 2012 will feature both established and emerging gallery from the world’s largest continent in a section devoted specifically to contemporary Asian art. In addition to exhibiting galleries, the curatorial direction of Art Toronto’s feature exhibition and the commissioned Benefit Edition will highlight art and artists from Asia. A dynamic and engaging program of panel discussions, presentations and docent-led tours will complement these initiatives.

Art Toronto is Canada’s only modern & contemporary international art fair. Toronto is home to the nation’s largest collecting institutions and exhibiting spaces, and the capital of art, fashion, film and music in Canada. As the fourth largest financial market, the Canadian economy has proven to be stable during a period of international turbulence. The city of Toronto is recognized as one of North American’s wealthiest cities and is home to some of Canada’s highest income neighborhoods. Over 25% of those living in Toronto are of Asian decent, and Chinese is the third most commonly spoken language in Canada (after English & French).
