“Do A Book” is an exhibition at White Space Gallery in Caochangdi, Beijing devoted to exploring the medium of artists books and text-based art works on view February 18 - March 18, 2012. Curated by George Chang and Katherine Don, “Do A Book” provides a unique opportunity to reconnect with an important tradition of creative expression explored by artists both in China and abroad.
"The Chinese Scholar: Ink Paintings and Works of Art" is an exhibition organized by The Five Friends of Spring (Berwald Oriental Art / Marcus Flacks / Mee-seen Loong Fine Art / Maria Kiang Fine Art / Katherine Don). This exhibition coincides with Asia Week 2012, a collaboration among Asian art specialists, galleries, 5 auction houses, and 17 museums and Asian cultural institutions in the metropolitan New York area from March 16-24, 2012.

FOCUS Asia 2012 a continuation of the annual initiative designed to highlight influential topics in contemporary art. Recognized for her delicate ink color paintings on silk and paper, this showcase features her recent painting experiments with a third dimension. Peng Wei’s art both commemorates a bygone era of the scholarly tradition and represents the subtle elegance and refinement of contemporary culture.

October 1-29, 2009 | RedBox Studio and Mee-Seen Loong Fine Art present recent ink paintings by the Beijing based contemporary artist Xu Lei at the Aman at Summer Palace.
Contemporary Prints: 1999 – 2009 is a traveling survey exhibition which includes prints published by The LeRoy Neiman Center for Print Studies in the last ten years and other related unique works by participating artists. The collection displayed features over 300 works created by thirty-six artists in all printmaking media, including many of the most important international artists working today. The Neiman collection presents several key portfolios and series by contemporary artists diverse in their individual imagery and challenging in scope.
Xiao Xu was born in Chongqing in 1983 and graduated from the department of traditional Chinese painting at the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. Xiao Xu represents a generation of young artists predisposed to explore the solitude and fantasy explored in the scholarly tradition in Chinese painting.
Collector, dealer, and scholar of the Chinese aesthetic and its expression in works of art, the Master of the Water pine and Stone retreat has only recently devoted himself seriously to ink painting.
Arnold Chang was born in New York city in 1954. He holds a unique place in contemporary ink painting. american born, Chang is an outspoken and articulate connoisseur of traditional Chinese painting and an unapologetic traditionalist in his own expressive and distinctive landscapes.
Meng Zhao was born in Anhui in 1967. As a child growing up in Anhui, the ceramic sculptor Meng Zhao had no toys and would go to the river to create shapes with water and sand. Now forty-four he continues to play with water and earth as the material and object of his art.
Zeng Xiaojun was born in Beijing in 1954. Perhaps no contemporary Chinese ink painter better embodies and emulates the model of the Ming scholar artist more than Zeng Xiaojun. Connoisseur, authority on classical Chinese furniture, collector of scholar’s rocks and all things wood, and furniture maker himself, Zeng is a contemporary exponent of painting old trees, a tradition distinct from landscape painting.
Hao Liang was born in Chengdu in 1983 and graduated from the department of traditional Chinese painting. Currently lives and works in Beijing
